Financial results for the third quarter and first nine months 2025

<body><subtitle-block>First Direct Partnership in UK Market</subtitle-block>The transaction, which closed on 26 November 2025 with funding on 1 December 2025, represents a deepening of the relationship between Crédit Agricole CIB and AustralianSuper, Australia's largest superannuation fund with over A$400 billion in assets under management (as at 30 September 2025).While the two parties have previously collaborated through AustralianSuper's joint venture with British Land on the Canada Water development in London, this marks their first direct partnership in the UK market. This partnership highlights AustralianSuper's investment activity in the UK student accommodation sector and the Bank’s expanding role as a trusted financing partner for major institutional investors in this asset class.<subtitle-block>454 units in Bristol's Temple Quarter</subtitle-block>The financing will support a state-of-the-art purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme in Bristol's Temple Quarter, a major regeneration zone transforming a former industrial area into a thriving mixed-use district.This development will deliver 454 student accommodation units, comprising 82% en-suites and 18% studios, all available for direct letting. Strategically positioned just an eight-minute walk from the University of Bristol's new campus which is scheduled for completion in 2026, the development will offer residents access to modern amenities including a gym, study lounges, and social areas. With an estimated development period of approximately 25 months, the development is targeting practical completion in October 2027.<subtitle-block>Strong fundamentals drive investment</subtitle-block>Bristol's appeal as a student accommodation investment destination is underpinned by strong fundamentals. The city is home to approximately 70,000 students across two major universities (the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England), yet maintains a PBSA bed provision rate of just 34%. This translates to a 3.0x student-to-bed ratio, highlighting significant undersupply in a market where 72% of students are domestic, providing stability and predictability to occupancy rates. This supply-demand imbalance positions the development to meet critical accommodation needs in one of the UK's most dynamic education hubs.<subtitle-block>Targeting EPC A and BREEAM Excellent</subtitle-block>In line with both parties' commitment to environmental responsibility, the facility has been structured as a green financing. The development is targeting an EPC A rating and BREEAM "Excellent" certification, ensuring the building meets the highest environmental standards while providing students with energy-efficient, modern accommodation that reflects the evolving expectations of today's student population.<subtitle-block>Integrated financing solutions</subtitle-block>Crédit Agricole CIB acted as Mandated Lead Arranger, Lender, Bookrunner, Green Coordinator, Hedge Counterparty, and Agent & Security Agent, demonstrating the Bank's ability to provide integrated financing solutions across multiple roles.<subtitle-block>Management and operations</subtitle-block>The asset is part of AustralianSuper's recently launched UK Living platform, led by PBSA veteran Tim Butler, as part of a A$1.1bn commitment. <body>To help clients stay ahead of the curve by seizing opportunities, the Bank hosted industry leaders, investors, and innovators in Mumbai to explore the latest trends in those sectors, covering macro backdrop, application of technologies, regulatory regime, and investment dynamics. The session featured keynotes from Crédit Agricole CIB and SBI Mutual Fund, India's largest asset manager and a joint venture between Amundi and State Bank of India. Here we bring you a summary of the perspectives.<subtitle-block>The macro backdrop: positive structural drivers</subtitle-block>India is the world's 4th largest economy, nevertheless the per capita energy consumption remains just one-third of the global average. Rising living standards are driving increasing power demand and substantial growth in the energy sector. The Government of India has set a target of 50% renewable energy in its mix by 2030, backed by renewable power prices lower than new-build coal, thanks to affordable land in resource-rich regions, declining installation costs, and abundant natural resources.As the world's 4th largest renewable energy producing nation, India is amongst the top 5 globally for solar resources and wind capacity.<subtitle-block>Investment outlook: catalysts and opportunities</subtitle-block>The Government of India has implemented several policy initiatives to attract investment: strengthening legal frameworks, establishing transparent e-auction processes for project tenders, and allowing 100% foreign ownership in key infrastructure sectors. The investment target of US$1.7 trillion by 2030 in infrastructure mainly concerns the following sub-sectors:<ul><li>Renewables: Annual additions of ~35-40 GW, requiring ~US$150 billion over the next 5 years.</li><li>Transmission (physical and technical systems that transmit power, signals, or information from one point to another): US$100-120 billion in new investments through 2032.</li><li>Smart meters (digital devices that record electricity consumption and transmit the data automatically to energy suppliers): 250 million units targeted by 2026, ~US$20 billion.</li></ul><subtitle-block>The future of energy transition: BESS and hydrogen</subtitle-block><ul><li>Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)</li></ul>By 2030, renewables will generate almost 30% of global electricity supply, double today’s level. This calls for a rapid increase in power system flexibility and grid investment. Growing electrification and demand-side flexibility (smart chargers, heat pumps), storage and dispatchable power plants will be increasingly needed to integrate wind and solar energy securely and cost-effectively.<ul><li>Hydrogen</li></ul>Low-carbon hydrogen and fuels are an important part of net-zero policies, particularly as regards hard-to-abate sectors - shipping, aviation, industry. High costs remain the main obstacle: low-carbon hydrogen maintains a significant high premium over grey hydrogen. Demand-side policies are needed globally to encourage companies to sign offtake agreements. The conference continues to be the leading forum for industry players to discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping our businesses, from digital transformation, sustainable finance, regulatory changes, innovation and fostering meaningful collaboration across the sector. In 1990, Crédit Lyonnais moved its UK headquarters to Broadwalk House on Appold Street, which is still home to Crédit Agricole UK today.<figure class="image"><img height="468" src="https://ca-cib.celum.cloud/photo-archive-3_47468_CDN_images.jpg" style="aspect-ratio:1406/468;" width="1406"></img></figure><legend>Crédit Lyonnais’ London office, 1990s  </legend>During this decade, both Banque Indosuez and Crédit Agricole expanded their services in the areas of capital markets, private banking, and structured finance. These developments paved the way for unification when, in 2003, Crédit Agricole acquired Crédit Lyonnais and the two banks merged to form Calyon. This was a decisive step in establishing a stronger, more unified group presence in London. <subtitle-block>Transformation and Innovation: 2010 onwards</subtitle-block>Since 2010, Crédit Agricole CIB has developed a modern, global identity, strengthening its presence in London across capital markets, financing, investment banking, and securities services. The creation of Amundi and the transformation of Calyon into Crédit Agricole CIB in 2010 marked the beginning of a unified Group identity. Building on this momentum, CACEIS expanded its presence in the UK in 2013 by opening a sales office in London, and later established a custodian bank branch to reinforce its commitment to local clients. Throughout periods of uncertainty – such as the 2016 Brexit referendum – the Group has demonstrated resilience and long-term commitment to the UK market. More recently, the acquisition of Wealth Dynamix by Indosuez Wealth Management in 2023 and the launch of CA Auto Finance have highlighted our capacity to innovate and diversify. Today, in 2025, Crédit Agricole in the UK brings together six entities and 1,600 professionals under one banner.
