Crédit Agricole celebrates 120 years of presence in Singapore
In 2025, the Crédit Agricole group celebrates its 120th anniversary in Singapore, marking a significant milestone in the city-state. Singapore is a strategic market for the Group, serving as one of its regional hub in Asia-Pacific.
A celebration marked by memorable moments
To commemorate this milestone, the Group organised a cocktail reception on 24 February hosted by Philippe Brassac, Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole S.A., Jean-Francois Deroche, Crédit Agricole group Senior Regional Officer for APAC, Antoine Sirgi, Crédit Agricole group Senior Country Officer for Singapore, Albert Tse, Chief Executive Officer of Amundi South Asia, Isabelle Jacob-Nebout, Head of Wealth Management for CA Indosuez Wealth Management Switzerland, Laurent Proutière, incoming Chief Executive Officer of Indosuez Wealth Management Asia, and Gaël Lang, Chief Executive Officer of Azqore Singapore.
Around 400 guests including key clients and partners, attended the celebratory event alongside distinguished officiating guest Dr Amy Khor, Senior Minister of State for Sustainability and the Environment and Senior Minister of State for Transport in Singapore.
120 years and beyond: a stronghold in Southeast Asia
Having established its first office in Singapore in 1905, the Crédit Agricole group was the first French bank registered in the city-state. Since then, the Bank has kept investing in one of the world’s major financial centre, and has over 2,000 employees on the ground. It presently offers:
- corporate and investment banking services via Crédit Agricole CIB,
- asset management solutions via Amundi,
- private banking solutions via Indosuez Wealth Management,
- and outsourced banking services for wealth managers via Azqore.
The city-state stands out for its strategic location at the heart of Asia, particularly as the preferred base for businesses primarily connecting to the Southeast Asia economies, as well as its status as a hub for international trade and notably commodity finance, wealth management, and fintech.
Singapore is one of Crédit Agricole CIB’s regional hubs in APAC serving global and Southeast Asian clients. The Bank also boasts a strong local franchise in the city-state, built upon solid relationships with its stakeholders across the public and private sector. It plays a key role in the development of local infrastructure as well as the financing of the energy transition, with Singapore looking to import renewable energy from neighbouring countries.
Looking to the future, the Bank will continue to grow its presence in Singapore and Southeast Asia markets, driving long-term value for its clients and society.
