Crédit Agricole CIB signs MoU with Seoul Guarantee Insurance to strengthen collaboration to support Korean companies’ overseas expansion

Crédit Agricole CIB signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Seoul Guarantee Insurance (SGI), the largest comprehensive guarantee insurance company in Korea, to further support Korean companies’ international growth and strengthen global cooperation. By combining our extensive global network with SGI’s guarantee expertise, we are poised to meet the increasing demand from a larger number of Korean companies expanding abroad.
 

The signing ceremony was attended by Didier Gaffinel, Deputy General Manager and Head of Global Coverage & Investment Banking, Yves-Marie Gayet, Global Head of International Trade & Transaction Banking, Charles de la Rochefoucauld, Global Head of Coverage for Insurance & Pension Funds, Asset Managers and Hedge Funds and Gerald Massenet, Senior Country Officer for South Korea.

This MoU comes in timely as there is increasing demand from Korean companies on export finance and our Bank is a leading player in this sector globally. Crédit Agricole CIB and SGI will work together on handling various guarantee requirements for Korean companies across their bids overseas.
 

To strengthen their capacity to help Korean companies expand overseas, SGI has opened its first European representative office in Poland. The opening ceremony was officiated in the presence of management of SGI and Crédit Agricole Bank Polska – Bernard Muselet, Chief Executive Officer, among others. 

This new office opening is a strategic decision to capture opportunities as Poland is a key logistics and industrial hub connecting Western and Eastern Europe. As a strategic outpost for European expansion for Korean companies, this new office will focus on establishing networks with financial companies in Poland and neighboring European countries.
