At the request of the President of the French Republic & the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, various French stakeholders in India (Embassy of France, Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Business France and French Foreign Trade Advisors) organised a French Solidarity Mission to raise funds for the purchase and installation of French oxygen generators in Indian hospitals. Aymeric de Reyniès, Senior Country Officer for India Anne Robert, Global Head of Communications
Crédit Agricole CIB promptly responded to this initiative by making a donation that will enable oxygen generators to be purchased from French manufacturer Novair Medical. Thanks to the financial contributions given by various French companies, 8 medical oxygen generators were delivered to India, by air or by sea, and were installed in hospitals at beginning of May. Additional units will also be purchased and shipped to India in June and July. These units are permanent fixtures and each generator can offer oxygen supply for a 250-bed hospital for about 12 years. The system’s flow rate is sufficient for 15 intubated Covid-19 patients in a resuscitation care unit (or 30 patients in conventional intensive care) or 150 patients requiring oxygen in a conventional hospital setting. Devices to refill oxygen cylinders are also included in the purchase.
This solidarity action lies at the heart of the strategic partnership and friendship between the French and Indian people.
Crédit Agricole CIB has been in India for 40 years and is currently located in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Pune, offering a comprehensive range of products and services, tailored to the needs of Indian companies, multinational companies and financial institutions.
