Laurent Chenain is appointed Head of Corporate & Leveraged Finance
Crédit Agricole CIB appoints Laurent Chenain Head of Corporate & Leveraged Finance effective 1st June 2023
Laurent Chenain replaces Jamie Mabilat as Head of Corporate & Leveraged Finance. He reports to Jean-François Balaÿ, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole CIB, and remains a member of the Management Committee.
Corporate & Leveraged Finance brings the Leveraged & Telecom finance activities, as well as the origination of Corporate debt.
Biography

Laurent Chenain began his career in 1988 at the Corporate Finance Department of Banque Indosuez in London. In 1989, he joined the Project Finance Division of the Bank in Paris where he held various positions, first in the Infrastructure team and then in the Energy Team. In 1997 he was appointed Head of the Oil & Gas team. In 2000, Laurent joined the Leverage Finance Division of Crédit Agricole Indosuez and took over the responsibility of the French Team in 2003. He became Global Head of Real Estate and Hotel Group in 2012. Since 2018, Laurent has held the position of Head of International Trade & Transaction Banking.
Laurent Chenain holds a Master’s degree in Management (Panthéon-Sorbonne University) and a postgraduate Specialised Master diploma in Strategy & Organisation from ESCP.
