The green loan facility, which reached closing on 23 October 2025, will “power” the STT Seoul 1 data centre, where proceeds will be used to finance the development of the data centre.

The STT Seoul 1 project is designed to provide 30 megawatts (MW) of IT load capacity with an industry-leading level of Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE). Strategically located at the heart of Seoul data centre-dense network area within the Gasan Digital Complex, this Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certified building benefits from rich connectivity with convenient access to nearby substations, as well as critical telecommunications, subway stations, logistics and knowledge industry centres.

Boosted by the favourable demand and supply market dynamics in Seoul, which has resulted in constrained availability of data centre capacity with a vacancy rate of 3.5%*, being one of the lowest in the APAC region, STT Seoul 1 is Singapore-headquartered ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC)’s first data centre in Korea through its joint venture with its local partner Hyosung Heavy Industries Corporation.

Building on our strong relationship as a banking partner to STT GDC for its early data centre development in Singapore, Crédit Agricole CIB acted as a Mandated Lead Arranger and Bookrunner (MLAB) and Green Loan Coordinator in this transaction.

(*) According to Knight Frank’s Data Centre The APAC Report September 2025.

We are pleased to serve as Green Loan Coordinator for STT GDC’s green loan transaction, empowering STT GDC’s entry into South Korea with financing that drive energy-efficient innovation and decarbonisation in the data centre sector – paving the way for a more sustainable digital future across Asia.
