The € 1.04bn refinancing of Tangenziale Esterna S.p.A in Italy for the ASTM Group reached financial closure
On April 23rd 2025, Crédit Agricole CIB celebrated another great client achievement with the financial close of the 1.04bn Euro refinancing of the existing financial indebtedness of Tangenziale Esterna S.p.A, the ASTM Group company in charge for the 50-years Public-Private Partnership concession in relation to A58 - Tangenziale Esterna Est di Milano, a new generation motorway located in the Lombardy Region in Italy.
In this milestone deal, Crédit Agricole CIB acted as Mandated Lead Arranger, Bookrunner, Lender and Hedging Bank, alongside a pool of domestic and international banks.
This milestone deal is not only supported by the strong sponsorship of the ASTM Group, the second largest toll road operator in the world, but also reflects the Bank’s regional strategy, as a sizable transaction in relation to a strategic regional infrastructure.
This transaction is another testimony to Crédit Agricole CIB’s continued commitment to supporting clients, and further strengthening its leading presence in the Italian infrastructure market.
