Crédit Agricole CIB received 3 recognitions from Global Trade Review (GTR) during the GTR Leaders in Trade 2026 & GTR Best Deals 2026 Awards Ceremony

Crédit Agricole CIB has received the "Best Trade Finance Bank in Western Europe 2025" award for the eighth time in nine years, reinforcing its leading position in this key market. This recognition demonstrates our clients' continued trust, our proven expertise, and our sustained dedication to facilitating international trade.

Crédit Agricole CIB was recognised for its innovative financing solution supporting Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and its supply chain during a critical period of operational recovery.

Following a cyber incident in Q3 2025, Crédit Agricole CIB structured a financing solution that enabled JLR to restart production in October 2025. The facility accelerated payments to qualifying suppliers through prepayment at point of order rather than post-invoice delivering essential liquidity during the recovery phase while preserving JLR's standard payment terms.

This structured approach supported JLR's return to full production and demonstrated the Bank's ability to deliver tailored solutions that address complex supply chain challenges.

We also won a second Best Deal Award with SSAB AB for the financing of the transformation, decarbonisation and modernisation of its steel mill in Luleå, Sweden. Crédit Agricole CIB acted as the Global Coordinator, Structuring Bank, and Green Loan Coordinator in a financing package for SSAB and its transformation project to a state-of-the-art fossil-free mill in Luleå, Sweden.

The project is key to enable SSAB to re-position SSAB Europe as a maker of premium products, to lower production costs. It will helps reduce CO2 emissions from the operations and therefore Sweden’s emissions by 7%. Learn more on this transaction in our dedicated article Will open in a new tab .
