Crédit Agricole CIB and VINCI: Pioneering end-to-end digital bank guarantees in France

Crédit Agricole CIB and the VINCI Group reached a significant milestone in Trade Finance digitalization with the issuance of five end-to-end digital guarantees. This achievement reflects the shared commitment of both stakeholders to innovation and the modernisation of financial operations.

In August, Crédit Agricole CIB and the VINCI Group signed a guarantee issuance agreement on the Digital Vault Services (DVS) platform, making Crédit Agricole CIB the first French bank to use this solution to issue electronic guarantees in France. Following the signing, Crédit Agricole CIB successfully issued five digital guarantees, covering the full process from client instruction through to document registration in an electronic vault. Beneficiaries are automatically notified upon issuance and can retrieve their guarantee directly on the platform.

This achievement is made possible through the native integration of DVS with Crédit Agricole CIB's Trade Finance back-office tool, enabling straight-through processing between both systems in real time, with no manual intervention.
